I am refinancing my house… after being in it for only 2 1/2 years. I am really excited, because the interest rates are awesome right now—record lows—and I am able to save a pretty substantial amount of money per month. It’s exciting, it’s like getting a raise! :)
Things like this make me feel so, oh, adult. I remember back when it was intimidating to even think about having a credit card, and here I am refinancing a house—which means I had to do it once before! I’m making these decisions on my own—and I love it. I know I will need to share the decision-making powers if I EVER want to have a functional marriage someday, but right now I enjoy the freedom to make these decisions on my own. Refinancing my house, going back to school, and doing it on my own.
It also makes me feel very blessed.
This phase in life, quite frankly, is really fun. I can’t wait to see what’s next! (Well, I sort of know what is next—the school phase starts in a month and a half, but other than that). :)

Wow, how time flies--I cannot believe you have been in your house 2 1/2 years already!
